With nearly 20 years of experience, Dr. Stephen is deeply passionate about helping animals live healthier, happier lives. Dr. Stephen’s expertise lies in preventive medicine and surgery, with a focus on mitigating or preventing diseases like hip dysplasia, brachycephalic upper airway syndrome, bloat, and more, particularly for younger patients. He is equally committed to ensuring older pets receive the best possible preventive care and surgical options.

Managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hyperthyroidism, osteoarthritis, and kidney or heart disease is another area of great fulfillment for him. Dr. Stephen also has a special interest in dental surgery, as poor dental health is a leading cause of preventable heart and kidney disease in older pets.

On a personal note, Dr. Stephen has been happily married to his brilliant wife, Sarah, for almost 25 years. They have two children, Truman and Harper, both soon heading off to college. His family also includes a scruffy, lovable terrier named Jasper and two cats, Sophie and Boomhauer.
